"I don't have much experience with airsoft rifles, but I think I made a great pick for my first one. I ordered this a few months ago, and my expectations were already exceeded as soon as I opened the box. I received the rifle with the mag in it, that one being a wind-up high cap, and an extra mag, which was a spring-loaded variant. For the price I got it for ($375 CAD w/ shipping) the quality seems reasonably high. I haven't taken it out to a game yet, but I'm still impressed and fully satisfied with the quality, regardless. I've handled a real M16 before (A3 ftr), and this is pretty spot on.
Below is a list of things I found significant enough to mention with the Double Bell M16A2:
Pros:
- ✅ Detachable handguard using slip ring.
- ✅ Fully adjustable rear sight ring, can easily flip between wide and narrow aperture.
- ✅ The rear sight is fully adjustable for windage, can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically.
- ✅ Carry handle includes a hole for a sight and/or rail attachment.
- ✅ Features 3 sling mount points located below the front sight, on the left side where the stock is attached and on the end of the stock.
- ✅ Fully metal, the only things I found that were plastic are the stock, the handguard, the pistol grip and the flash hider.
Cons/half cons:
- ❌ The bolt does not retract fully, only enough to access the hop-up; the bolt catch is still functional.
- ❌ It comes with a negative threaded birdcage flash hider that is also marked orange, this is not required where I live (Canada) but the con is that screw hole on the bottom is sealed with glue which will prove difficult to remove.

Shoots extremely well and the build quality is a lot nicer then one would expect from Double Bell but they've truly upped their game
Comes with two mags out of the box (Check under the hi-cap!). A STANAG Hi-Cap and a Polymer Mid Cap
Would highly recommend!

"I got this gun and it shoot really good and for the price its better then the lancer pro line as its under 200 dollars plus if you are trying to go for a black hawk down kit or gulf war kit or you are like me and like the fix carry handle instead of the modern removable carry handle this is a go to for you.
