"I got this for a birthday for a friend of mine, and it he let me take it for a spin, and it handles great, he has a juggernaut kit and it fits very well. I would recommend the E2 rather than para if you want the complete juggernaut feel, but if you want a light machine gun, the para is the way to go. The big thing I dislike is that the slide doesn't go all the way back

"I purchased the Performance Plus Package… unfortunately, it doesn’t shoot as fast as it does in the video, even while using 11.1v battery. But it’s still very good and very strong. My favorite gun at the moment. IF YOU DO BUY THIS PACKAGE, YOU NEED A DEANS BATTERY.

"Well, I've had the featherweight for about 2 years, and I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with how well It's held up through the years. A lot of the games that I play in are outdoor games in the middle of the woods so I'm constantly dropping it all over the place, and banging it into trees, and to my surprise, it hasn't broken yet! I was a little concerned with it being all polymer but the only thing that's broken was when I got a different stock to compensate for a big Ly-ion battery. but that's a different product.

pros:

It's light weight frame makes it way easier to assist other players on the front lines instead of
hanging back and laying cover fire. (But it's good for that too.)

If you're not a fan of box mags, it's compatible with M4 and M16 mags.

The retractable stock is super reliable and sturdy, so you don't have to worry about cracks or
stress there.

Cons:

The battery compartment is a little small, if you run Ly-Ion batteries, you might need to get a
different stock, but other than that it's ok.

I would take care not to slam the top cover too hard too often because when I did one time, it
broke one of the locking slots, but I slammed it pretty hard, so it was kinda my fault... But other
than that it's still a really good gun for the money.

Also, if you really wanna make people fear you on the field, I'd use an 11.1 Li-po or Li-Ion,
but for the Li-Ion you'll probably have to get a different stock.

Overall, it's a really good gun to have in your arsenal or if it's your first gun and I'd really
recommend.

"I love my LMG. I bought it like 4 months ago and it is a blast to shoot. The polymer it is mainly made from is actually tough and sturdy. No issues with the gun itself though I wish they made better box mags for it as box mag I have for it doesn't always feed the most reliable but I hear that is common and that is normally something I can work around so no big loss there. The point is this thing is very fun to shoot and is a conversation piece in and of itself so what is not to love, it even makes a lovely room decoration when not in use.

"I wanted to buy a LMG for 3 years of hard core airsoft, and when I had the spare money I checked this one out.

I bought this gun, the FN M249 "Para" SAW, Tan color, and added a A&K 2,500rnd drum because, what is a LMG without a drum!!!

Pros:

1. Highly affordable
2. Light weight (8lb - 12lb)
3. High quality polymer plastic and metal
4. Version 2 gearbox, and easy to modify
5. Very good FPS (400) and accruate
6. Folding stock
7. Can take M4 magazines (High Cap Mag included)
8. Works best with .20g and .25g bbs
9. Bipod
10. Adjustable Hop-Up

Cons:

1. Does not come with battery or charger

To be honest it is a very good LMG and would highly recommend to beginner LMG SAW gunners or airsofters on a tight budget!

"box mag is almost completely plastic and will fall off easily but stays on most of the time. Box mag has three settings including off, auto, and sound control. the mag that comes with the gun is almost completely metal. The gun is constructed mostly of reinforced polymer though, there are some metal parts such as the buttons to open the battery/hop up compartment. I suggest oiling these metal parts with some 3 in 1 oil to keep them from rusting. Barrel can easily be taken off and put back on again. bb spread at 15 yards is about the size of a baseball, getting wider as distance increases (non-precision barrel). Iron sights are polymer but are quite reliable; I recommend a 4x acog scope. Bipod is polymer and does not touch the ground if the gun is equipped with the 2500 round box mag. I suggest a battery that is 9.6 V or smaller but an 11.1V 1500 battery will just fit the compartment if you would like a high fire rate; however, having the 11.1V battery will heat up the motor to where it is almost burning your hand.

Pros:
-reliable medium-close range gun
-high fire rate depending on battery
-heavy-Ish ~9 LBS
-Really cool looking and feeling
-easily upgradeable

Cons:
-has no threads on barrel
-orange tip can break off easily
-very hard to high-crawl with
-small battery compartment
-not good for younger players as it may be too heavy

Conclusion: a well-made and reliable gun that has a realistic feel to it.

"I've had my M249 Feather weight for a year now the only problem I have with it is the Para stock and inner barrel. If you can switch the stock and inner barrel for a tight bore inner barrel I would highly recommend it. I've switched my stock for a positionable stalk. I've also switched inner barrel for a tight bore barrel. I love it so much I am looking at getting another one.

"My M249E2 came in, the stock has Tons of space, unlike the other varients with small stocks and no space the E2 can fit Literally any NiMH and LiPo battery on the Airsoft Market. I reccomend getting the Matrix 2000 Rnd Tan (Black) box mag as a replacement box mag. A&K Box mags may be unreliable, I have seen bad reviews from A&K's box mags but perhaps its a user error or it could be a manufacturer error. Regardless if you're looking for a replacement box mag look into the Matrix 2000 Rnd Box mag.

"This is a very good machine gun for anyone looking for their first machine gun. it is light, has a good fps and fire rate, and it is light.

pros:
lightweight
cheap
good fps
good rps
looks cool
loud (Could be con for some)
quick change spring and barrel. no dismantling gun for accuracy and fps upgrades.

cons:
you need to keep the barrel and chamber clean in order to keep it feeding properly with a box mag.
small battery compartment

I recommend that you through a m120 spring in there for a better fps, but even stock it is a very good gun.

"Got it in a box of awesomeness so value around $100 more or less . test ok 300fps no issues using box mag 1500 rds with the reinforce motor model. The good news about this gun:
1- Looks better than A&K I have the full metal para
2- Weights less than an M4 ( Berrett carabine)
3- easy HPA upgrade you ever done just drop in a Jack all you need Amped chim for polar star 1.52mm that holds engine steady in V2 gear box, M60 nozzle #14 , and a couple of gear chims for the trigger so it wont wobble left to right ( make sure you do not tide the screw in front and rear of trigger too tide check trigger movement).
4- Price
The no so bad:
1- Hop up unit I am trying replacements made of aluminum ( the original works but is plastic and Im running 28 rps Im afraid it will brake down the road)
2- Tripod just remove it is 2 or 1 screw easy put a vertical grip

"I bought this through my field and I have to say it works amazingly, just be careful with the box magazines from A&K. The site says it's compatible but it's a gamble if it does work with your gun. Overall 10/10

"I love this LMG, I've always wanted a M249 and this one is a great one to have. I'm currently modifying mine into a Paratrooper variant and gonna use it at my next airsoft battle. The firing is so great and I love being able to use magazines with it. The parts are very easy to swap out so the entire gun is a complete plug and play and very easy to work with. Once again, Evike has provided a great airsoft product and that's why I always go with them for my airsoft needs.

If you wanna see pics, I have them on the Evike Facebook page.

"Great light weight replica m249 yes its plastic 95% but decent para stock wobbles my only gripe
by EDGAR B. on 07/22/2021
"I have this at home unopened I’m just going off what I have owned a g&g m4 with blowback and I’m hoping they didn’t skimp out of the motor. G&g has standard m120 motors pulling their springs, I’m hoping this one has a similar motor to those G&g branded m4’s. Because I was pleased with their rate of fire.

"Bought this on a whim a couple years ago. Wasn't sure what to expect, but for the price, I was enticed.

Externals: All Poylmer, but surprisingly, very sturdy(minimal creaking, flexing, etc.), I wouldn't go dropping it, but it's certainly not as fragile as ABS plastic bodies. RIS rails are a plus. Overall, this M249 looks very asthetically pleasing to the eyes, considering what it is. The trademarks are tastefully placed.

Internals: Uses a robust v2 gearbox. From what I gather, this isn't a common version gearbox in m249 aegs and some frowned upon it. But mine has been through multiple games with a heavy trigger finger and it has yet to give me any issues or fail. Spring on mine is putting out just over 300 fps with .2g bbs, it has a quick change spring set up that is easily accessed by opening the feeding tray if you want to swap it with an m120 spring to increase the fps. Rof is adequate with a 9.6v battery, it says ita lipo ready, but I wouldn't trust anything stronger than a 7.2 lipo(which for some reason nets a lower rof than the 9.6 in my experience.

Cons: the battery compartment is small and oddly shaped, greatly limiting the size and shape of the batteries you can use with this aeg(you're going to want a battery with a large mah for this aeg since it's an lmg). I put a battery bag on the outside to eliminate this problem, but still, it could have been designed better.

The box mag: while this is more a a slight against a&k( it's their brand box mag). I'd stay away from the 1500 rd nut sack style box mag they recommend with this gun. Right out of the box, the auto feed didn't work and the pressure feed mechanism could be wonky at times, also the clip to hold the box mag onto the aeg seems to have too much travel and it unclips very easily, which can damage your box mag by it hanging from the feed tube. I would either get the full size a&k 2,500 rd box mag(doesn't have any of the issues I mentioned above), or the MAG brand m249 boxmag.

Over, I'd recommend this gun, especially for its price. I've owner the Echo 1 m249 and the a&k m60, and this has been far more reliable than they ever were and lighter to boot!
